Tiger Shroff will be launched by Farhan Akthar and trained by Aamir Khan

Recently, there was much speculation about Tiger Shroff (Jackie and Ayesha’s son) being part of Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Ashiqui 2’. But his parents dismissed these as rumours, while hinting at something else in the offing.
Now it’s official: Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment have lapped up Tiger for a Reema Kagti directed film under their banner. Reema had earlier directed ‘Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd’ for Farhan’s banner and she is also helming the Aamir-starrer ‘Talaash’. Zoya Akhtar and Reema will co-script an action-oriented love story for this star son’s debut! The film is slated to hit the floors by end 2012.
This also puts paid to the rumours that Subhash Ghai (who launched Jackie) would get to do the honours of casting Tiger in the remake of the Jackie starrer Hero. Jackie had even endorsed that “Tiger has it laid out for him. If Subhashji hadn’t given me a break I wonder what would have happened to me.” But obviously Tiger had other plans!
Incidentally, Aamir Khan has taken Tiger under his wing and is said to be training him! The superstar and the newbie apparently hang out together and hit the gym at Aamir’s home. Jackie and Aamir have remained friends ever since they worked together in Rangeela, so Aamir considers Tiger part of his family.

We guess this is one to look forward to: Aamir as coach and Farhan as producer. What more could a Tiger ask for?

Whoa!! Katrina set to sizzle as Sheila again

Katrina Kaif will portray her 'Tees Maar Khan' character in Zoya Akhtar's documentary on 100 years of Bollywood titled 'Sheila Ki Jawaani'

Katrina Kaif turns Sheila again. This time it’s for the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara director Zoya Akhtar with whom she shares an amazing rapport.
Zoya is making a documentary titled Sheila Ki Jawaani on 100 years of Bollywood that will star Kat.
A source says, “When Zoya was approached to make the docu, she felt that the popular Sheila Ki Jawaani track from Tees Maar Khan was the perfect example to describe the story of the glamour-struck industry. The song choreographed by Farah Khan is an epitome of a quintessential Bollywood number with lots of latkas and jhatkas and establish Kat as the hottest item girl in B-Town.

Meanwhile, cashing on the popularity of the song, a B-grade film too was made on the same title.”

The source further reveals, “The documentary tells the story of a guy who is a huge fan of the item number and dreams of meeting Sheila in reality. It talks about the success of this song in particular and people’s fascination for Bollywood films and stars. The film will be shot in Mumbai. Zoya will take some of the stock footage of the song from her cousin Farah Khan and also shoot the song again if required.” Says Katrina, “Yes, I am part of the documentary.”
