Did Karan johar call Katrina Kaif boring?

It seems like Karan Johar may have developed a penchant for flirting with controversy as the usually diplomatic filmmaker was supposedly overheard criticising Katrina Kaif for her boring poses recently. However, later in a complete volte-face, he stunned everyone when he took to twitter and announced that he had not said anything about Kat.
His tweet read “Absolutely crazy media report suggesting I have said something about Katrina!!! I HAVE NOT!!! It’s totally baseless and a lie!!! Katrina is not only a dear friend but also a supremely talented and hard working Bollywood megastar!!! And all this reportage is ridiculous!!!”
For the unaware, the story goes like this. At a recent party, K Jo was heard telling his posse that Katrina’s look remained the same regardless of the theme of any commercial shoot and that she had the most monotonous and predictable poses.
Well, we wonder if Kat is going to react to this controversy strongly and if this bad blood is going to get in the way of her Bollywood upcoming movieDostana 2’ which is being produced by K Jo

Whoa!! Katrina set to sizzle as Sheila again

Katrina Kaif will portray her 'Tees Maar Khan' character in Zoya Akhtar's documentary on 100 years of Bollywood titled 'Sheila Ki Jawaani'

Katrina Kaif turns Sheila again. This time it’s for the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara director Zoya Akhtar with whom she shares an amazing rapport.
Zoya is making a documentary titled Sheila Ki Jawaani on 100 years of Bollywood that will star Kat.
A source says, “When Zoya was approached to make the docu, she felt that the popular Sheila Ki Jawaani track from Tees Maar Khan was the perfect example to describe the story of the glamour-struck industry. The song choreographed by Farah Khan is an epitome of a quintessential Bollywood number with lots of latkas and jhatkas and establish Kat as the hottest item girl in B-Town.

Meanwhile, cashing on the popularity of the song, a B-grade film too was made on the same title.”

The source further reveals, “The documentary tells the story of a guy who is a huge fan of the item number and dreams of meeting Sheila in reality. It talks about the success of this song in particular and people’s fascination for Bollywood films and stars. The film will be shot in Mumbai. Zoya will take some of the stock footage of the song from her cousin Farah Khan and also shoot the song again if required.” Says Katrina, “Yes, I am part of the documentary.”

What's giving Katrina the jitters?

The actress is undergoing some gruelling workout sessions to test her stamina for her character in her next film opposite Aamir Khan

Kat’s nervous. She has had a tough shooting schedule in London recently. But that’s nothing compared to what she has gotten herself into now. The actress who’s never done an action film before, has just started intensive and specialised fitness training for her role in her upcoming project opposite Aamir Khan. For the next 10 days, the actress is going to be training for four hours, every day at the Yash Raj Studios where a floor has been specially rigged up for the practice sessions.“The sessions are basically to determine what my stamina is like and how much I can take. Which is what is scaring me, ” she says with a laugh.
Hunger pangs                                                                          Katrina not new to fitness. But what she’s not used to are gruelling workout sessions that would leave her body thoroughly exhausted. “That kind of working out is just too draining.Particularly, when you are not used to that kind of extreme physical strain. Your body ends up feeling worn out. It starts craving… you know…rest and food. After those four hours of working out, I will be like dead for the rest of the day, ” she elaborates. Rumours are that Aamir will be playing a ballet dancer in the film. Is Katrina role similar? While she doesn’t want to divulge any detail, she is all praises for her co-star. “Just look at him. He’s maintained himself so well.

It’s amazing. Even Hrithik, he’s always so fit. Women can’t work out so strenuously like that, you know. Our shoulders are not so strong. You ask a woman to do pull-ups and you’ll know, ” she says.
Katrina believes it’s not a good thing to subject one’s body to such erratic fitness phases. “However, I thought that if I needed to do a role of this kind, it had to be now. I won’t be able to do justice to such roles after I get into my 30s, ” she adds.
Slow but steady                                                                      Having gotten herself in the groove with some regular exercises for the last couple of days, Katrina’s been trying to build her stamina slowly. But body flexibility could be a slight issue, she suspects. “I don’t think my body is very flexible. What if they find I can’t do some of the things required for the scenes? This is a huge challenge; sometimes I don’t know why I sign up for such roles. Why can’t I just stick to the sarees, eat what I want and be happy?” she smiles ruefully. Too late, Kat. Time for your next workout!

Would never release a film during IPL: Shah Rukh Khan

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who co-owns an Indian Premier League (IPL) team, believes that releasing films during the tournament is a risk that he would never take.

"If someone is releasing it (a film), they know what

they are doing. But I would actually think twice,
especially in the middle of the tournament. In the beginning yes, you can take a chance, but not in the middle and never at the end, I wouldn't release a film," the 46-year-old, who co-owns Kolkata Knight Riders, said here at the unveiling of Nokia brand campaign for IPL 5. "If you are going to analyze it some people are releasing their films, yes they are taking a chance because the matches happen mostly 8-11 so that show can be affected if it's an important match. I would think about it if I am releasing a film as a producer," he added.Shah Rukh says there are filmmakers, who hold back films and decide on releasing them post-IPL. "People do wait for IPL. Post-IPL has become a period where people assume that there is a want of films and you will release your film as soon as the season gets over. So that tells you that is an important part where people hold back their films," Shah Rukh said.Shah Rukh is back from London after a shooting schedule for Yash Raj's untitled film, which also stars Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

Chikni Chameli’, Kat’s recent item number in Karan Johar’s ‘Agneepath’ remake, is what’s creating a buzz in Bollywood these days, and she admits that the attention feels good.
