To enroll starlet Veena Malik in a political outfit, one has to go really cuckoo in the head. And Pakistan’s popular cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan doesn’t seem to have gone that far!
So how is it that there are rumours floating in India and abroad about the wannabe actress joining Imran Khan’s political party Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI)? Is it the starlet’s foolhardy PR machinery plugging such bizarre reports in the media? Or is the media itself going on a speculation overdrive?
Whatever be the case, it seems highly unlikely that a political outfit in a conservative country like Pakistan would accept amongst its members, a girl whose nude pictures have appeared on the Indian version of a foreign lifestyle magazine, and who has been attempting to dramatically seek a groom through an Indian reality show. Moreover, Veena Malik is said to be a nautanki (read drama seeking machine) who can go to any extent to be in the news.
Whether it is flirting with actor Ashmit Patel on the Indian reality show Bigg Boss, or doing a disappearing act in Mumbai, or acting in B-grade cinema, or signing up for another reality show called Swayamwar to seek a groom through Indian television; the Pakistani starlet has seen and done it all within just a year or two.
So next time you hear anything about Veena, please take it with a pinch of salt and nothing more than that.
