If rumours are to be believed then it seems like Parineeti Chopra has found a trustworthy friend and confidant apart from her cousin Priyanka Chopra. 

According to a source, the 24-year-old befriended Jackky Bhagnani, son of producer Vashu Bhagnani, a couple of months ago. Ever since, the two have been virtually joined at the hip. Despite being caught up with promoting her latest movie ‘Ishaqzaade’ Parineeti has been trying to include Jackky in all her plans. She has allegedly been paying a visit at Jackky’s residence on a regular basis. Just recently the vivacious actress set many tongues wagging when she was spotted with Jackky in an office above Jackky’s sister, Honey’s, shop.
The source confessed to a tabloid that only some people were aware of the blossoming friendship between the actors and that they want to maintain a low profile about their supposed relationship. Nevertheless, it is obvious that Jackky couldn’t control his excitement when he took to twitter and got busy tweeting about Parineeti’s film ‘Ishaqzaade.’
This is not the first time Parineeti has been in a relationship. Before her Bollywood debut she was supposedly dating Harman Baweja’s cousin Maninder Singh.
Well, now that we have got a peek into Parineeti’s colourful love life we are wondering if Jackky was responsible for all the strong emotions Parineeti so effortlessly portrayed on screen for ‘Ishaqzaade.’

Arjun Kapoor disappoints daddy Boney Kapoor

While Arjun Kapoor is basking in the glory of the success of his debut film ‘Ishaqzaade’ we know one man who is regretting not launching him, namely his father, Boney Kapoor.

According to the grapevine, after a lot of effort Boney Kapoor has found a suitable script for his son but Arjun will not be able to commit to the project because he has signed a three-film deal with Yash Raj films.
An industry insider stated that Boney took his time to come up with the right script for Arjun because he wanted his son to feature in a well-written movie with strong characters. It was just a few days ago that the concept of a contemporary romance saga struck Boney and he immediately broached the subject with his son. Unfortunately Boney had to leave with a heavy heart because Arjun had already signed a contract for three Bollywood movies with Yash Raj Films and couldn’t say yes to his father.
The insider added that YRF was stunned when their film ‘Ishaqzaade’ starring two relatively new faces, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra, registered Dhs3.75 million at the BO on its opening day. YRF naturally seems keen to cash in on the opportunity and work on their forthcoming films with Arjun Kapoor.
The 26-year-old actor is apparently being roped in to star in another Bollywood film with Parineeti Chopra which will be directed by Pradeep Sarkar (‘Lafangey Parindey’). There is to be another project which will be helmed by Shimit Amin (‘Chak De! India’). By the end of the month, the projects will possibly be finalised.
Well, it looks like Boney Kapoor will have to wait for a long time to fulfill his dream of working with his son.

The younger Chopra bags a film opposite PC’s ex!

Priyanka Chopra might be at the top of her game but she is facing competition from the place she would have least expected – her own home! Rumour has it that PC isn’t exactly pleased with the way her younger cousin Parineeti has become the toast of the town after her act in ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’ and the promos of the much-awaited ‘Ishqzaade’ opposite Arjun Kapoor. Apparently, the young lady has bagged yet another big project in the Yash Raj camp with none other than Shahid Kapoor! 

The film will go on the floors soon and buzz is that this news hasn’t gone down well with Priyanka who has reasons to be upset. One, she has never been a Yash Raj girl despite her years in the industry. Apart from the flop ‘Pyaar Impossible’, Bollywood’s foremost production house hasn’t considered her for any film. However, what perhaps is irking her the most is that Parineeti’s next film is opposite her ex boyfriend Shahid who allegedly isn’t showing much interest in Priyanka either. Insiders say he is recommending Bipasha’s name for Siddharth Anand’s official remake of the Tom Cruise starrer Knight and Day!
Though on the surface all seems well between the cousins, there’s definitely cause for concern. Parineeti recently joked “I feel inferior when standing next to my shapely cousin (Priyanka).” And PC came back with, “I will slap her and throw her into the gym right away!” But besides the superficial camaraderie, Priyanka campers insist that she’s fuming about her cousin’s YRF coup!

Shooting for her new film across small towns in India has sparked off the actress' keen interest in political developments in the country

Parineeti Chopra is talking politics. No, not the general pow wow that runs rampant in the industry.

According to insiders associated with her forthcoming movie, the young actress often talks about the dynamics of day-to-day political developments in the country. Surprisingly, her newfound interest is attributed to shooting for her film in the small towns in central India. Not surprisingly, when she started shooting for her film, Parineeti had no interest in politics and didn’t follow it beyond regular headlines. However, being constantly around people who are not only politically aware but also have their own analysis and opinions on the subject, in cities like Bardoi, Barabanki and Lucknow, changed all that. As our source explains, “There were no fancy places to hang out when shooting in such locations. So the places they hung around were frequented by locals who’d often discuss the daily political developments. 

And with the then upcoming elections and the face-off between Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, the environment was very heavy with the subject. That’s how Parineeti got interested in politics. And soon, she was also discussing updates with the local youth.” 

Our source further adds, “During elections, Parineeti would follow the exit polls and discuss the developments with her family and friends. She would reason why something was good and how something would affect people in general.” The actress is currently said to be preoccupied discussing international politics vis-à-vis the BRICS summit.
