Is Parineeti Chopra dating Jackky Bhagnani

If rumours are to be believed then it seems like Parineeti Chopra has found a trustworthy friend and confidant apart from her cousin Priyanka Chopra
According to a source, the 24-year-old befriended Jackky Bhagnani, son of producer Vashu Bhagnani, a couple of months ago. Ever since, the two have been virtually joined at the hip. Despite being caught up with promoting her latest movie ‘IshaqzaadeParineeti has been trying to include Jackky in all her plans. She has allegedly been paying a visit at Jackky’s residence on a regular basis. Just recently the vivacious actress set many tongues wagging when she was spotted with Jackky in an office above Jackky’s sister, Honey’s, shop.
The source confessed to a tabloid that only some people were aware of the blossoming friendship between the actors and that they want to maintain a low profile about their supposed relationship. Nevertheless, it is obvious that Jackky couldn’t control his excitement when he took to twitter and got busy tweeting about Parineeti’s film ‘Ishaqzaade.’
This is not the first time Parineeti has been in a relationship. Before her Bollywood debut she was supposedly dating Harman Baweja’s cousin Maninder Singh.
Well, now that we have got a peek into Parineeti’s colourful love life we are wondering if Jackky was responsible for all the strong emotions Parineeti so effortlessly portrayed on screen for ‘Ishaqzaade.’

Nargis Fakhri’s new man

Tired of being linked to Bollywood heartthrobs Nargis Fakhri recently gave the media a piece of her mind. In an interview with a tabloid, the model turned actress said that the fabricated stories about her love life with men had annoyed her so much so that she wanted to scream from rooftops and announce to the world that she wasn’t interested in men at all!
Upon hearing this remark a source pointed out that Nargis couldn’t fool anyone with that claim because she was already in a relationship with another man.
Rumour has it that the 32-year-old American has moved past her alleged ex Shahid Kapoor after she learnt that Shahid wasn’t interested in a committed relationship; she is now apparently going steady with model cum actor Shayan Munshi.
The couple has, according to the grapevine, been spotted at several hotspots in Mumbai. At an eatery in Bandra, much to the embarrassment of the other diners, Nargis and Shayan were seen cuddling together in quite an abandoned manner, to say the least.
Well, it’s no secret that Shayan recently split from wife Piya Rai Choudhary. We are wondering if gorgeous Nargis is nursing him to recovery.

Did Karan johar call Katrina Kaif boring?

It seems like Karan Johar may have developed a penchant for flirting with controversy as the usually diplomatic filmmaker was supposedly overheard criticising Katrina Kaif for her boring poses recently. However, later in a complete volte-face, he stunned everyone when he took to twitter and announced that he had not said anything about Kat.
His tweet read “Absolutely crazy media report suggesting I have said something about Katrina!!! I HAVE NOT!!! It’s totally baseless and a lie!!! Katrina is not only a dear friend but also a supremely talented and hard working Bollywood megastar!!! And all this reportage is ridiculous!!!”
For the unaware, the story goes like this. At a recent party, K Jo was heard telling his posse that Katrina’s look remained the same regardless of the theme of any commercial shoot and that she had the most monotonous and predictable poses.
Well, we wonder if Kat is going to react to this controversy strongly and if this bad blood is going to get in the way of her Bollywood upcoming movieDostana 2’ which is being produced by K Jo

‘Vicky Donor’ is a hit

It’s a sign that indicates the maturity of the Bollywood cinegoer. John Abraham’s ‘Vicky Donor’, a film about the tricky subject of sperm donation is doing extremely well at the box office. It will be Prakash Mehra’s sons’ next after ‘Zanjeer’

Bollywood is clearly running out of ideas. In a year of sequels and remakes, make way for another one – Amitabh Bachchan’s blockbuster hit ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’ And the people behind this project are the ones who are reprising another Bachchan hit, ‘Zanjeer’ as well. The late Prakash Mehra’s sons – Sumit, Punit and Amit – who own the worldwide rights to all the films Prakash Mehra’s films are planning to remake most their father’s films and after ‘Zanjeer’, they have zeroed in on this Amitabh-Vinod Khanna-Rekha-Rakhee starrer.
Then the Mehra boys plan to remake Prakash Mehra's ‘Laawaaris’, ‘Sharaabi’, ‘Namak Halaal’, ‘Hera Pheri’ and ‘Haath Ki Safaai’.
Talking about his father's blockbuster, Amit said, "What I love about Muqaddar Ka Sikandar is that every protagonist in the film, including Amjad Khan Saab, is a passionate lover. The remake would have to be cast very carefully. We don't have too many actors today who can pull off the role of intense lovers."

However, sources say Amit has already set his eyes on Abhishek Bachchan to reprise the role of the protagonist Sikandar played by his father Amitabh Bachchan in the original.
Casting apart, post Salim Javed's royalty demand for the ‘Zanjeer’ remake, there is a fear in the Mehras' camp about the writer of the original story, Vijay Kaul coming forward to lay a claim on the remake.
Hopefully this time, the brothers will seek more than the writer's blessings before launching the project.

Foreign beauties bombard Bollywood!

Bollywood seems obsessed with foreign beauties! And why not? One after the other, the international beauties seem to keep making a mark. So the list is growing.

Arab Brazilian model Bruna Abdullah generated quite a buzz with I Hate Love Storys alongside Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor, while Welsh model Lisa Lazarus impressed with Salman Khan in Veer.

Swedish-Iranian model and dancer Maryam Zakaria got a chance to shake a leg with Kareena Kapoor in Agent Vinod; that too for a mujra number. Half-Sri Lankan half-Malaysian beauty Jacqueline Fernandez has been managing to bag quite a few movies like Housefull, Murder 2, Housefull 2 and even Aladin; co-starring megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

Half-Czech half-Pakistani American fashion model and actress Nargis Fakhri became a sensation of sorts opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Rockstar, while South African Playboy model Candice Boucher romanced dashing debutant Sachiin Joshi in Aazaan.

Not to forget the Uruguayan-Mexican actress and model Barbara Mori who starred opposite Hrithik Roshan in Kites.

That’s not all! There has been another Brazilian model Giselle Monteiro in Love Aaj Kal, Canadian model Mia Uyeda in Blood Money, British-born Amy Jackson in Ekk Deewana Tha, Irish-born British granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin, Kiera Chaplin in Chaurahen, Russian model Era Tsariova in Cigarette Ki Tarah and Indian Brazilian model Nathalia Kaur in Department.
And as if so many foreign beauties weren’t enough, the latest to join the firang-babes bandwagon is the stunningly beautiful half-German half-Indian international model Evelyn Sharma, who has managed to bag more than three movies even before her first release.

Her impressive line-up includes Manish Tiwary's Issaq opposite Prateik Babbar, veteran filmmaker Pramod Chakravorty's grandson Prateek Chakravorty’s debut film From Sydney With Love, and a pivotal role in Ayan Mukerji's Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani; the Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone starrer under Karan Johar's banner Dharma Productions.
So what makes Evelyn so special than all the other hotties? A surprising fact is that the girl has already completed over a hundred assignments in India in the last few months, since migrating here! Plus, inspite of her half-foreign origins, she dubs in Hindi for herself! Way to go girl!

Whoa!! Katrina set to sizzle as Sheila again

Katrina Kaif will portray her 'Tees Maar Khan' character in Zoya Akhtar's documentary on 100 years of Bollywood titled 'Sheila Ki Jawaani'

Katrina Kaif turns Sheila again. This time it’s for the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara director Zoya Akhtar with whom she shares an amazing rapport.
Zoya is making a documentary titled Sheila Ki Jawaani on 100 years of Bollywood that will star Kat.
A source says, “When Zoya was approached to make the docu, she felt that the popular Sheila Ki Jawaani track from Tees Maar Khan was the perfect example to describe the story of the glamour-struck industry. The song choreographed by Farah Khan is an epitome of a quintessential Bollywood number with lots of latkas and jhatkas and establish Kat as the hottest item girl in B-Town.

Why Ileana lost to Nargis Fakhri?

The makers of the Akshay-Himesh joint production are apprehensive about how she turns out

Okay, so we know that Nargis Fakhri has been confirmed to play Akshay Kumar's heroine in his next film, which he's co-producing with Himesh Reshammiya

Interestingly, the model who made her debut opposite Ranbir Kapoor wasn’t the first choice for the Ashish R Mohan directed film. Reportedly, southside actress Ileana Da’Cruz had initially being confirmed for the part. Seems there’s more buzz about Ranbir and Priyanka Chopra, her co-stars in her upcoming maiden Hindi release. So turning apprehensive about how she turns out in her Bollywood debut, the makers of the Akshay-Himesh joint production decided to rope in Nargis instead, considering that her film has released… never mind if her performance has been panned.

It was Sanju's idea to have Nathalia as item girl

The trailers are in the theatres and the promotional clippings are ready to be aired. But the film’s producers Viacom 18 have decided to shoot an additional song which will not only be sung by Sanjay Dutt.

There have been loud whispers about Sanjay Dutt’s more than passing interest in behind-the-scenes proceedings of his latest film Department. Dutt has been looking closely at the progression of the shooting, specially towards the closing lap.
In fact it was Dutt who suggested Brazilian model Nathalia for the item song rather than a known face from Bollywood. And now comes the clincher. Next week Sanjay Dutt would personally shoot a song featuring himself and to be choreographed by Dutt’s friend and protégé choreographer Ahmed Khan.
A very reliable source from Viacom 18 informed, “Sanjay Dutt will be shooting the song with Ahmed Khan’s choreography. The peppy edgy number has been composed by Sandeep Chowta and Mr Dutt would be recording the song in his own voice. There’s no doubt that Sanjay Dutt is a major attraction after Agneepath. We want to make sure he is projected as the film’s USP. ”
(Mr Bachchan has a cameo in the film).
Dutt would be taking charge of the song which besides being aired on all the channels would also be appended on to the film for the end-titles.
While the Viacom source chose to remain anonymous, choreographer Ahmed Khan spilled the beans. “Yes, we are shooting a song for Department. It’s a music video to be sung by Baba. He and I are getting together once again after he sang and I shot Aye shivani in Sanjay Chhel’s Khubsoorat. This time it’s an edgy song with no dancing. ”

Poorna has bohemian sex appeal

It's been almost a year since the release of Delhi Belly, and yet actor Poorna Jagannathan's portrayal of Maneka is fresh in audience's mind

The lady will be seen next in a couple of Hollywood projects, sharing space with the likes of Jane Fonda, Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim Robbins. Known for her bohemian sex appeal, Poorna talks to CS about work, stereotyping in Hollywood and her sartorial sense:
The time of my lifeWorking with Jane Fonda was the most inspiring thing ever. I have never met someone more engaged with life.It was four in the morning during an all-night shoot and she kept everyone up and laughing with her stories. Gwyneth (Paltrow) is extremely down to earth – she directed me in her first shot and she’s lovely. All in all, I had a great time.Changing scenariosThe stereotypes are symptomatic not only of Bollywood actors in America, but also of how America deals with non white-skinned actors. African-American or Hispanic actors are usually playing cops or drug dealers, while us Indians are playing the over-worked doctor or the over-worked technician.
The scenario is changing for sure – I was in New York last month and auditioned for roles that weren’t open to me five years ago. People love Irrfan Khan and Freida Pinto. They’re trailblazers. In fact, at the very mention of Irrfan Khan’s name, people’s faces light up.
Hollywood vs BollywoodAny actor who actually knows their craft would fit in in Hollywood. The difference is not in levels of passion, but in how much the script is respected. In the States, the writer is put on a pedestal. Not so much the case in India. When it comes to Bollywood, there really isn’t a type of film I want to do but there are a bunch of directors I’d love to work with like Vishal Bharadwaj, Anurag Kashyap, Kiran Rao, Anusha Rizvi, Amol Gupte among others. My style statementI like to dress comfortably. As far as the bohemian tag is concerned, people have called me a lot of things. Bohemian is one of the nicer labels.I love Sarah Jessica Parker. She wears amazing clothes but never lets them overshadow her. I’m also a big fan of Deepika’s (Padukone) style sense.
